There’s a lot that goes into being a man in today’s society and being good at it. If you’re really trying to maximize your potential in life (and if you’re not, then why are you here?) then you should be consistently growing in all areas of your life. You should be learning and improving your mind regularly. You should be examining your life and your ideals and further defining yourself. And you should be developing the strongest, fittest body that you can.

I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but if strength training isn’t a fixture in your life then here are some things to think about:

I was having dinner and a drink last week with a beautiful and talented (I know she reads this blog and I’m not stupid) female friend. Over the course of the evening we talked about a variety of topics and at one point the conversation turned briefly to her recently-ended relationship.

Today I want to talk about the biggest reason why most men aren’t successful. It has nothing to do with their brain power. What station they were born into in life doesn’t even compare. The money in their pocket isn’t even a factor compared to this. Neither is their looks, their way with words, or their friendships.

Nope. While all of those things can have a big or small effect on your success, they aren’t the number one factor.

Picking up chicks with your nutrition plan?

I’m a little pissed off, so let’s talk nutrition and all this bullshit that comes along with it.

For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been dieting lately to lean down. I talked a little bit about how I’ve been doing it in my interview with Chris Beardsley. Anyway, this weekend in Jersey I officially (and intentionally) went off the wagon. I used my weekend as a mental break from all things dieting and what was going on back home. I didn’t train, I ate a bunch of crap, and I just focused on learning, building my business, and having fun.

I had the good fortune to attend a wedding this past weekend. I know, you probably all assumed that Isaac (aka Mr. McCrabby) would rather die than attend a wedding. However, I think you need to look at the positives:

-Assuming the wedding is a good idea you’ve got a great couple making a great decision together.
-Great food.
-Bar.
-Lots of people you’ve never met.
-A chance to rock a suit. What man doesn’t feel better in a suit? If you don’t, then get your ass to the gym.
-Dance floor.
-Lots of well-dressed women trying hard to look their best and be seen.

So, as long as it’s a good couple (it was) and a non-pain-in-the-ass ceremony (it was) then I really think that you have to look at weddings as a potentially great time.

In addition to just having a good time while I was there I participated freely in one of my favorite sports: People Watching.
